You will need to attend Parish Council meetings held once a month and spend some extra time on areas of specialism or interest. You must be aged 18 or over, an elector, and have been a resident or worked within 3 miles of the Parish for the past year.

The position is unpaid.

Do you think that speeding traffic has become dangerous or having an anti-social impact in Tandridge?

Would you like to take an active role in speed monitoring?

Would you be interested in forming a group?

A Speed Watch scheme requires a minimum of six volunteers who will be trained by police in the use of speed monitoring equipment, health and safety and how to manage enquiries by motorists and/or other members of the public.

NOTICE OF VACANCY FOR A PARISH COUNCILLOR

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 87 (2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy has occurred in the office of Councillor for the Parish of Tandridge following the resignation of

DOUG KNIGHT

Under Rule 5(2) of The Local Elections (Parish and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006 it allows for ten electors for the Parish to request a by-election in order to fill the vacancy, if no such request is made the vacancy will be filled by the Parish Council through co-option.

Written requests for a by-election to be held should be sent to:-

and must be received on or before Monday 29th March 2021

Where ten valid requests for a by election are received by the Proper Officer, then under the provisions of the Coronavirus Act 2020 and The Local Government and Police and Crime Commissioner (Coronavirus)(Postponement of Elections and Referendums)(England and Wales) Regulations 2020 the election will not take place, and the vacancy will be held open until it is filled at the Ordinary Election of Councillors due to be held on Thursday 6thMay 2021.
