NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 87 (2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy has occurred in the office of Councillor for the Parish of Tandridge following the resignation of
Councillor Nicky Hellard
Under Rule 5(2) of The Local Elections (Parish and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006 it allows for ten electors for the Parish to request a by-election in order to fill the vacancy, if no such request is made the vacancy will be filled by the Parish Council through co-option.
Written requests for a by-election to be held should be sent to:-

and must be received on or before2nd November 2020
Where ten valid requests for a by election are received by the Proper Officer, then under the provisions of the Coronavirus Act 2020 and The Local Government and Police and Crime Commissioner (Coronavirus)(Postponement of Elections and Referendums)(England and Wales) Regulations 2020 the election will not take place, and the vacancy will be held open until it is filled at the Ordinary Election of Councillors due to be held on Thursday 6thMay 2021.

Tandridge Parish Council would like to welcome Colin David to the Parish Council. Colin is a resident of Tandridge and keen to improve the community he lives in.
John Hammond has stepped into the Vice Chairman's position for this year and the Parish Council look forward to working alongside him in this role.
Tandridge Parish Council would like to thank Nicky Hellard for all her dedication and tenacity over the years, as she steps down from her roles as Vice Chairman and Parish Councillor.
Tandridge Parish Council are very pleased to announce that they have elected Ivor Stamp for another year as Chairman. Ivor continues to have the best interests of Tandridge Parish in his motivations and works tirelessly as a dedicated member of the community and parish council.
Due to recent events surrounding the Covid-19 virus and the advice from Government, the Parish Council has made the decision to cancel the April meeting. A decision will be made at the toward the end of April regarding the next meeting and this will be determined by the advice at that time.
